About me: 

Hi there👋, please allow me to introduce myself my name is Michael and I am looking for my next opportunity to work with a UK membership organisation or professional body.
 

A little bit about me:
 

 I have always been drawn to solving the kinds of problems most people avoid. Even at school, algebra was my favourite subject because I loved uncovering patterns and making sense of complexity. This instinct now shapes the ways in which I work with membership organisations. That is to say that I enjoy turning messy systems, unclear data, and complicated member journeys into something structured, strategic, and genuinely useful to the business.
 

Alongside this analytical side, I also bring a strong sensitivity to people — I pick up on member sentiment, team dynamics, and emotional cues quickly. This ability to pick up on emotional cues quickly and easily helps me communications that feel human, not mechanical whether these be customer automated journeys or member newsletters or surveys. It also helps me to support and motivate teams to work together towards a common goal with clarity and confidence.
 

For the past three years, I have helped UK membership associations and professional bodies (typically with  between 2,000 and 3,000 members) improve their CRM performance, strengthen retention, and build member experiences that actually work.


Above all, what drives me is simple:  I want to help your association thrive by helping your association with developing  systems, processes, and communications that genuinely work for your members.

I am currently looking for opportunities to offer ​UK membership associations and professional bodies of between 2,000 and 3,000 members with support in any of the following areas:

  • Comprehensive CRM Audits - Ensuring your CRM is tailored to your association’s needs—streamlined, strategic, and user-friendly;

  • CRM Strategic Consulting - Advising your association on how you can best optimise your  CRM system to support effective recruitment and retention campaigns, while staying  GDPR compliant;

  • Onboarding &  Membership Lifecycle Communications Strategy - Design and implement seamless onboarding journeys and engaging communications for first-year members and beyond for the whole membership year;

  • Renewals Campaign Planning - Plan, help draft and schedule in your association's CRM system automated renewals campaign messages as well as assist with any other technical aspects in your system to do with your association's renewal campaign;

  • Membership Surveys & Insight Gathering - Develop well-crafted surveys to uncover what your members value—and what they need next;

  • Membership Metrics Dashboards & Trend Reporting - Create intuitive dashboards and reports that highlight trends in engagement, churn, and growth to inform decision-making;

  • Prospect Targeting & Campaign Support - Identify new member segments and develop smart, targeted marketing strategies to grow your community.

To date I have worked with 3 CRM system brands : Zoho, Hubspot and Readymembership. 

​

However, if your company uses a different CRM system. This is completely fine and not a reason for us to not have a chat about your business needs and how I might be able to help  you and your business. As in each instance above I started with the CRM system from scratch and had no prior experience with each system and  so  I pride myself in being a quick learner and have found that in my experience all CRM systems share at least some similar elements. â€‹â€‹â€‹
